About Chef Jess
Chef Jessica Cahen has loved cooking and planning parties since she started watching her mother when she was a teenager. Primarily self-taught, Chef Jess has travelled extensively and incorporates food ideas from her travels in her cooking.
Chef Jess has been teaching cooking classes and serving food to friends and clients for over twelve years.
She has also taken classes from Hugh Carpenter,Joanne Weir and from TanteMarie’s Cooking School in California,among other places. Chef Jess attended the Personal Chef Network’s National Symposium in Charleston, South Carolina in October of 2008. There she attended classes with Anne Willan, chef and creator of La Varenne Cooking School in France; Denise Vivaldo, author, chef and food stylist; and Michael Ruhlman, chef, author and extensively seen as a judge on Iron Chef America.
Chef Jess will be happy to help you plan a wonderful dinner party, where your guests can help with the cooking or sit and enjoy a glass of wine, a fun cooking birthday party for you or your kids, a graduation party, or a brunch. Chef Jess also teaches cooking.
She is also available to create healthy meals for your family, including special diets, for you to share around your table. Chef Jess will do all the planning, shopping, cooking in your home and the clean-up. All meals are tailored to your desires and health needs.
Menus have included Mexican, Italian, Asian and Mediterranean fare, as well as comfort food, party and holiday fun and appetizers for your event.
Chef Jess has her ServSafe Certification and is insured.
Chef Jess is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and the Personal Chefs Cooperative.
